A substantial piece of furniture it is formed from two parts so it can be moved as it weighs nearly 115kg. This item is a world away from all those poor quality units so often found in the high street stores, even the top on the base unit is made with solid oak - even though most of the top is not visable when assembled! The drawers are dove tailed and have a soft closing mechanism and the top has three deep shelves which provide a really practical storage space. Just fill the cupboard with all your clutter and shut the doors - hey presto your home is tidy again.The cupboard's frame is made from Basswood (a derivative of the Lime Tree noted for its stability) with the casing panels being made from 18mm marine grade ply. The drawer unit top is solid oak. It is hand painted in 'Limestone' coloured paint as per the rest of our range. This hand painting and waxing gives a natural finish which is so much softer and more pleasing to the eye than a machine finish, or the distressed look so often used to disguise poor quality products generally found on the high street. The turned oak handles are included within the price. It has taken us around 18 months to source furniture that delivers real quality, superb value and a modern country look.
