| Large Bookcase (in Limestone) With all the benefits of our standard bookcase this piece is truely impressive and will look stunning in any large study or living room. Over 6 feet long, nearly 7 feet tall and just under 2 feet deep it provides a superb setting for all your books and other items you wish to display to the best effect. We standardise on the classic Limestone colour from the rest of our range (shown in blue) and this contrasts beautifully with the mid stain colour of the solid oak top.The bookcase top provides 6 moveable shelves (plus the oak worktop) and an additional moveable shelf is contained within each half of the base unit. The worktop is solid oak and the frame is made from Basswood (a derivative of the Lime Tree noted for its stability) with the casing panels being made from 18mm marine grade ply. It is hand painted in 'Limestone' coloured paint as per the rest of our range (shown in Blue in the photo). This hand painting and waxing gives a natural finish which is so much softer and more pleasing to the eye than a machine finish, or the distressed look so often used to disguise poor quality products generally found on the high street. The turned oak handles are included within the price. It has taken us around 18 months to source furniture that delivers real quality, superb value and a modern country look.
